Community Event Series

Marketers in the Arena

The challenge

Marketers inside Web3 and tech ecosystems rarely had a room built for them specifically. They were guests at founder dinners and afterthoughts at technical conferences. Guava was asked to build a series that could travel city to city while still feeling native to each one.

The strategy

We built a repeatable format with a flexible core: a working session structure, an intentional guest list capped for real conversation, and a local host or partner in every city who understood the room better than we ever could from the outside.

The experience

Each stop kept the same bones, honest conversation, useful frameworks, and time built in for people to actually talk to each other, but let the details flex. Venue, food, and programming adapted to local culture instead of being shipped in from a template deck.

The outcome

  • Multiple city activations run on one adaptable format
  • High return attendance from senior marketers across stops
  • Ongoing requests from ecosystem teams to bring the series to new markets

Why it worked

The series worked because it respected two things at once, consistency in what people could expect, and flexibility in how each city experienced it. Marketers came back because the room was built for their problems, not as a side stage to someone else's agenda.

Signal: The same bones, a different city each time. People came back because the room finally felt like it was built for them.
