Global events program
Myosin

Member-Led Events Engine

Designed and deployed a global distributed events program for a network of operators across North America, Europe, LATAM, APAC, and Africa. Standardized formats, decentralized execution, outcome-tied reimbursement, and a content pipeline that turns every event into a documented asset.

The Problem & Thesis

Most distributed organizations struggle with the same problem: the network is everywhere, and the brand is nowhere.

Myosin is a distributed network of operators, not just a place people cooperate through work. The events program was built to make that network physical. Members host in their own cities, on their own initiative, inside a format that guarantees the room is worth walking into.

The core insight: local meetups can be a distribution channel and a pipeline engine rather than a cost center, as long as the system is designed properly from the start.

02

Strategic Framework

  • Standardize the format, decentralize the access. Three approved formats, a shared Luma template, a Figma event-page kit, and a published playbook. Members don't need to be event professionals — they need to care about the quality of the room.
  • Tie reimbursement to outputs, not attendance. Reimbursement is released only after the host submits a recap, photos, key insights, notable quotes, and an attendee role breakdown. This single mechanic converts every event into a documented asset and removes the need to chase for content after the fact.
  • Cap spend, cap scope, raise the bar. The approved range is $300–$900 per event. Large venues, speaker fees, heavy production, and swag are explicitly disallowed. Cafés, studios, offices, and homes are encouraged.
  • Publish the rules of the room. No hard selling, no recruiting pitches, no long decks. Facilitate rather than dominate. Insight over performance. Content capture mandatory. The rules travel with the format into every city.
  • Approve before anyone spends. Every host submits a proposal covering audience, curation plan, ROI measurement, venue, and budget. Approval is centralized. No proposal, no event.
You don't need to host the perfect event. You need to host a thoughtful one, then share what came out of it.

Three Approved Formats

01 — The Salon

An intimate apartment gathering for 10–20 people. A long table, curated conversation starters, home catering. Shoes off. Deep, honest exchanges about the craft, the changes in the industry, and staying sharp.

02 — The Roast

A founder presents a real marketing challenge to a room of experienced marketers for live pressure-testing. 2–5 minute pitch, 10–20 minutes of expert Q&A, five minutes of open audience questions. No slides. No product demo. Distribution, positioning, and growth only.

03 — The HiveMind Party

A hands-on workshop, happy hour, or builder night focused on a specific tool, deadline, or problem. Free or low-cost. Attendees leave with a finished deliverable and a working framework they can replicate.

Results & Outcomes

Metric Result
Q1 2026 program scope 10 approved events
Approved event formats 3 (Roast · Salon · HiveMind Party)
Cost per event $250–$900
Regions activated North America · Europe · LATAM · APAC · Africa
Host proposals submitted 40+
Cities represented in pipeline Lisbon · Denver · CDMX · Cannes · Antigua · Hong Kong · New York · Buenos Aires · Seoul · Tokyo · Uyo
Advance available to hosts Up to 50% of approved budget
The program proved that a distributed network can run a global events calendar at a few hundred dollars per activation, with a content asset produced from every single one, and no central production team.

The Roast is the reason the events program produces pipeline rather than photos. Founders leave with specific, actionable direction. Marketers in the room demonstrate expertise in public.

Formats travel, personalities don't. The Roast, the Salon, and the HiveMind Party are documented well enough that a member who has never produced an event can run one to standard in Lisbon, Denver, Antigua, or Uyo.

Small rooms, real signal. Ten people at a dinner in Denver. Eight at a table in Mexico City. A living room in Lisbon. The scale is the strategy, not a compromise on it.
